Is This What We Have Come To?

The entire time I read this book I was extremely upset, disgusted, and embarassed by Ms. Saucy but could not put the book down. I was always wondering what sick mess of desperate attempt she was gonna try next. Women please teach your daughters better than this and if she has friends like Saucy step in and shut that relationship down and try to get that young lady some help. People watch your family members and their parents and if you see the stuff happening to them what happened to Ms. Saucy, don't turn your head but do something. Save that child's life before they end up like Saucy.

Noire books are awesome. I read this when it was first published. I really enjoyed it. The ending was pretty sad, but Saucy had some strong issues. Really good storyline. I've been a fan of Noire's for awhile.

After moving from England to Virginia to Colorado before the age of 10, Simon Grew up with a deep-seated desire for constant change and growth.

From a young age, he realized that rules were made to be broken. While his friends were always following the pack and doing what they were told, Simon never stopped questioning authority and challenging the status quo.

Unsure of what he wanted to do with his life, he gave college a try. After changing his major several times, Simon quickly realized that the system was not for everybody. Naturally, he dropped out of school and decided to pursue his passion in entrepreneurship.

Since then he has run over $300,000 in businesses by the age of 20, and has mentored over 100 college students to run their own successful businesses.

A perfect guide for any student trying to find passion

Undecided explains how millions of students become trapped in the in the flawed system of college, wasting time and money each year without any significant outcome in the end. Simon uses his own personal experience as well as experiences of others to explain how college is not for everyone and how it is not the only path toward success. He also provides advice for finding your passion and using that passion as a career to reach the freedom that most people spend their entire lives yearning for. This motivating book is the perfect answer for any student who really has no idea what they want to do in life but are trapped in a major that doesn't interest them at all. I highly recommend this book to everyone as a helpful guide for finding your true passion. Simon did a wonderful job explaining how anyone can escape the system.

Must read for all current and future college students!

Undecided is a book all current and future college students need to read. The concept of breaking free from the "system" is by no means new, but Simon does a fantastic job of bringing it back to the forefront and challenging young adults to re-think their evaluation of the education system. Too many college students have fallen asleep behind the wheel because college is what they're "supposed" to do even though they have absolutely no passion for it. Considering the number of college students who get a degree and don't end up using it, it seems like a pretty expensive experiment to find out what you really are passionate about in life. If you're seeking this passion but can't seem to find it, take a look at Undecided - it may just change your life.

Christine is having an affair with Kern's nephew. Christine is being evicted, and she would do almost anything to stay in the apartment, so Kern promises her a lease if she will go with him.
She goes and Kern soon learns she isn't a self centered selfish money hungry harpy.
He learns Christine is loving and kind, as well as beautiful..

About the Author
Robert F. Reilly and Robert P. Schweihs are managing directors of Willamette Management Associates, and accredited senior appraisers of the American Society of Appraisers (certified in business valuation). They are coauthors of a number of highly regarded valuation books, including Valuing a Business, Valuing Small Businesses and Professional Practices, and Valuing Professional Practices. They are also coeditors of Financial Valuation: Businesses and Business Interests, 1997 Update. Mr. Reilly is a certified review appraiser, and a state certified affiliate of the Appraisal Institute. As an appraiser and economist, he is often called upon to testify in domestic and international courts regarding the valuation of intangible assets, businesses, and business interests, and regarding various economic damages issues. Mr. Schweihs currently serves as a Trustee of The Appraisal Foundation and as a member of the Industry Advisory Council of The Appraisal Foundation. He, too, is often called upon to testify as an expert witness in contested valuation and economic analysis matters.

Recommend Purchase!

A larger portion of the value of a company nowadays comes from Intangibles (brands, patents, workforce & related contracts, durable customers etc.). This holds true in several industry sectors. Measurement of intangibles is a fascinating subject, but until this book was published, there was no single body of knowledge available to guide the general reader, or a Valuation professional. You had to work in one of the reputed valuation firms to be exposed to the techniques. This book is by far the best practitioner-oriented Intangibles Valuation book I have come across. It is very comprehensive in terms of the topics it covers, and does a wonderful job of covering almost all intangibles of interest. Each chapter is written by a relevant expert, and this invariably leads to variations in quality and some lack of consistency. However, for the most part, it is very well written, and definitely worth the price it sells for.

For those who are interested in the management of organizational knowledge and intangible assets, 'Valuing intangible assets'should prove to be highly practical. There are many knowledge management frameworks out there that assist business executive to manage their intangible assets (such as Sveiby's intangible asset monitor), the practical usage of these frameworks would be greatly enhanced by incorporating the valuation aspect of intangible assets. Reilly has provided a comprehensive illustration of both the 'scientific' & 'artistic' aspects of valuating intangible assets. 'Valuing Intangible Assets' is easy to read & loaded with useful examples, it is a rare one in the market.

Excellent and Practical

This book is practical and easy to read, provided you know the basic principles of valuations. I would not recommend it as an introduction because it is burdened with too many details. It gives a systematic and thorough introduction to the subject. Do not expect to read this book and be able to do any complicated valuation on your own. However, you will be able to lead more informed discussions with appraisers AND with the tax authorities. You will also be able to review valuations by appraisers more critically and judge their quality or to assess in the preparation phase the relevance of information required.

Consumer behavior can be such an exciting and interesting subject. This textbook is mediocre at best. It doesn't expound on the material or examples in a way that reinforces its teaching. I am taking a consumer behavior course right now and thinking of purchasing a different textbook to supplement.

Loved it! Great beginning to series

I am a big fan of Opal Carew and the step-romance genre has been quite popular of late, so I couldn’t resist reading this 3 book serial type series. A little different and definitely exciting, My Best Friend’s Stepfather Part 1 is fun, intriguing and sizzling hot. As is the norm with Ms Carew, this was another well written book with fun characters and a cliffhanger that will make part two to be picked up ASAP.

Ashley works for a magazine and has found the perfect article to research and share with their readers. Given that everyone seems interested in the life of dominant-submissive relationships since Fifty Shades of Grey, her idea is to share tips and the story behind a dom-sub connection.

When she broached the idea with her boss and best friend, Adam, he was a little sceptical and a lot jealous. It appears he has been attracted to Ashely for a long time, but has never acted on his feelings for various reasons. The idea of another man dominating Ashely doesn’t sit well with him, but Ashley is determined and knows this article will be a winner.

Since Ashely was a teen, she’s known of Darien Gallagher (Dare). Being the stepfather of one of her best friends, they used to hang around his mansion and talk from time to time. When the friends graduated though they’d distanced themselves, but Ashely was given his name as a known Dom and somebody that was willing to give her lessons on what a relationship would be like.

Since their first meeting regarding the article, Dare has pushed Ashley’s limits and it only excites her more. She was adamant though that is wasn’t a sexual experience she was after, but would she be able to continue in that direction when her emotions are controlling her body?

Will Ashely give in to her body’s desires? Will Dare fall for her? What about the stepdaughter? Will Adam finally show his true feelings towards Ashley?

Read how this intriguing story unfolds and what decisions they all make. Ashely is a strong character that has the potential to make all the men fall at her feet. With the intriguing mystery behind the stepdaughter and why Adam refuses to talk about his past, this is a definite read for those interested in a quick BDSM read. Here I come part two……

4.5 Stars for the first part in this steamy serial

Nothing better than going to a rich, sexy dom to get the needed information for the magazine article being written, right? Well Ashley is doing exactly that, her only hang up is that said dom is actually her former friend's stepdad. Time has passed and Dare is no longer married to Helen's mom, but Ashley still remembers the sexy stepdad from her high school days. Despite her best attempt at keeping the interactions information based only, it doesn't take long for Ashley to submit to Dare's demands.

The build up between Ashley and Dare is hot. This is definitely a stength of Carew's writing. She can bring the steam and sexual tension. An interesting side note is Adam. Closer in age than Dare, her friend Adam is someone she has been crushing on for years. Adam himself, has the forbidden aspect as well since he was her brother's friend and he is currently her boss. The crazy thing is Adam only acts on his attraction to Ashley once he figures out she is pursuing more than just information with the dom, especially when he realizes it is Dare. Adam and Dare have a history which remains a mystery...hey, I rhymed. Can't wait to see where that storyline goes.

Now for the cliffy, this is a serial read after all. I didn't see it coming. Not earth shattering, it has me wondering where Carew is gonna go with it. There are so many questions with this story and it is perfect as a first book for a serial read. I just wish it wasn't a serial. They are not my favorite and it is the reason for the half point deduction. Still can't wrap my head around why these serials are not published simply as a full length novel. Regardless, there are a few authors I make exception for and read their serials, Carew being one of them, and after reading this first installment, there is no question as to why it is worth it.

I give this book 5 stars because the Author did such a perfect job keeping the reader so intrigued in this book. In the beginning you meet a woman name Ashley who wants to write an article on BDSM. She works for a man who is not only her brother best friend but his also the man she has always been in love with, but Ashley thinks that Adam doesn't share the same feelings she does, so she treats him like she always has as her best friend who she goes running with and talks to about everything. But just when you think this story going to be about Adam and Ashley the writer adds other people to the story that is going to make this book even more interesting and shocking. And one of the characters that the Author adds is Ashley best friend stepfather who turns out to be the man she going to talk to about what its like living the lifestyle of BDSM. His going to help her get the information she needs to write her article. What Ashley doesn't realize yet is once he comes into her life its going to change in so many ways. This book has so many good surprises that I am just loving. If you have not read this book read it because this was the first time I read one of Opal Carew books, and I am loving her writing she has me hooked on this series.
